Program for Transporting Tales

Australian Fairy Tales by James Hume-Cook; with illustrations by Christian Yandell

Well, it’s less than a week until our free fairy tale symposium, Transporting Tales, this Sunday the 29th! I can now release the official program to give you a preview of the schedule for the day:

Program for Transporting Tales

We’ve got some great academic papers lined up and some tale performances that I know will be truly enchanting.

Again, the location is The Theatrette, Glen Eira Town Hall, 416-428 Glen Eira Road, Caulfield. There will be free parking at the Town Hall too!

The event will begin at 1pm and finish around 5pm, with a little afternoon tea in the middle.

Looking forward to seeing you there for a magical afternoon!

Enchanted regards,

Belinda Calderone

  1. Dear Belinda, thank you for arranging such an inspiring, welcoming symposium. The combination of academic presentations with performing arts is a fantastic way of making research accessible to the community, while giving scholars & storytellers a chance to share knowledge with each other. I’m still buzzing with ideas flowing from this. Stay tuned for the Melbourne Fairy Tale Ring, starting soon by prompting of the Australian Fairy Tale Society. Details of location & timing are in discussion with Storytelling Victoria and you are all very welcome to contact me directly. Fey regards, Louisa.
